Our Process

Traditional Method Placenta Encapsulation (Traditional Chinese Medicine inspired)  includes cleaning the placenta, then gently steaming it with distilled water. After the steaming, the placenta is dehydrated, ground, and put into vegan capsules.

Babymoon

This service is $375 and includes picking up your placenta (within 15 miles of Atlanta) after you give birth, and delivering the capsules to you within 72 hours.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method of placenta encapsulation is special because it combines ancient wisdom with gentle, intentional preparation focused on restoring balance and energy after childbirth. In TCM, childbirth is believed to deplete a mother’s vital energy (qi) and blood, leaving the body in a “cold” state. The placenta is first steamed with warming herbs—commonly ginger, lemon, and chili pepper—to infuse it with heat and nourishment before it’s dehydrated, ground, and encapsulated.

This method emphasizes warming and tonifying the body, aiding circulation, hormone balance, and overall vitality. It’s considered more harmonizing and easier to digest than raw preparation methods. The TCM process honors the body’s natural rhythms, supporting physical recovery, emotional stability, and holistic postpartum wellness — making it a time-tested, balanced approach to healing after birth.
